Fairytales are not for me
I thought they were
For a brief moment in time
When my heart was full
My eyes were sparkling
And my soul was at peace
Just then,
Reality stepped in
Sirens blaring
Red flags at every corner
In a flash it was done
Spiraling into darkness
Constant free fall
Reaching for a foothold
Spinning out of control
Numbness sets in slowly
Taking over my soul
When will I ever learn
Them Fairytales,
Nope, they are not for me
