The Grim Reaper ~ He Comes.

 

When he comes for you

There is no hope

Once your number’s up

There’s no way out

All our days are numbered

We live on borrowed time

The end of our journey

Mapped in the stars

Follows us like a shadow

If he is merciful

It will be quick

A long suffering

If his humour kicks in

There’s no way out

No where to run

You breath your last

When the sun goes down

Journey

If time stood still

Will it wipe the world clean

And the whisper of silence

Pause the cacophony of life

Does energy reignite our souls

Taking us back in time

To disengage our minds 

Engaging yet again but,

In another realm of being

Within the stillness our breath

Unifies with the earth’s rhythm 

A sigh of relief, calm, serene

Free falling in peaceful bliss

Is this the end?

We challenged the earth

Mother Nature cornered 

In despair, weeping 

Stop she said, enough

But we kept on,

Ignoring her pleas 

Turning on ourselves 

Dominance and power

No mercy for the weak

Anger, rampant 

Hunger for survival

A world gone mad

And now, here we are

Locked up inside

Fear and panic grips us

Money, status, meaningless

In the eye of this storm

We are all powerless

Boundaries

Will you tell me
your secrets?
Your darkest moments
and deepest fears?
Will you open
your soul to me?
and, let me in
to that space
no one has ever been?
Is it possible
to love
beyond the surface
And, crave a bond
from deep within?
Will you let go
long enough
to feel real,
to trust
in the unknown
to love
from the depths
of your soul?

Shadows fall

Have you ever thought
about this life
the one we live in?
We float through
each day
not realizing how,
life’s effects on us
every moment,
every experience,
adds a new perspective.
And we evolve.
From day to day,
living each moment
not understanding
not thinking about,
how each action
affects the greater us,
hidden, like shadow
inside of us.

Soulmate

I hold on to us
every moment we spend
wrapped in the aura
of each other
I smile at the thought
of where we are
in this space
all our own
I feel alive
amidst the chaos
that closes in around us
And yet,
I find peace
and contentment
deep within my heart
For you,
have filled my life
with so much love
renewed my soul
And I am alive again

In the moment

I live for now,

the present 

those moments,

that make me smile

I live to love,

and, be loved in return

with all it’s euphoria

for all that we are

the simple pleasures,

the memories,

that would last
